DieGrazGuides Fremdenführer-Club für Graz und die Steiermarkis a team of experienced state-certified tourist guides, who make every effort to offer you guided tours of highest quality. We will deal with your individual wishes with the utmost flexibility and will be glad to advise you.
General Terms and Conditions
Exclusion of liability for guided tours
For all tours organized by DieGrazGuides Fremdenführer-Club für Graz und die Steiermark (in the following referred to as "DieGrazGuides") and its members and staff shall apply that participation is at the participant's own risk and no liability can be assumed by DieGrazGuides.
Our contract with you
After booking a tour the client will receive a confirmation of order in writing (by post, fax or e-mail) by our office. On receipt of the confirmation of order the booking is effective, and the present Terms and Conditions are recognized.
Alterations
Any alterations to data specified in the confirmation of order – e.g. number of guides, number of people, tour start point, length of tour, etc. – must be notified as soon as possible.
If you have booked more than one guide and, e.g. due to a reduction of participants, you would like to reduce the number of guides, please inform us in good time (see Cancellation). Otherwise we will charge you the number of guides specified in the confirmation of order.
Guide's failure to attend:
If the guide named in the confirmation of order is inevitably prevented from attending, we shall be obliged to find an equally qualified replacement. If possible we will inform the client in advance.
Number of participants
For walking tours, the number of participants per guide should not exceed the recommended number of 35.
Cancellation
Cancellation up to 8 days prior to service will be free of charge, between 8 and 2 days prior to service a fee of € 45,-- will be charged. If cancellation is made later or on the day of the service, or in the case of no-show by the group, or if the tour does not take place through the client's fault, € 89,-- will be charged.
Cancellation fees include no VAT.
No cancellation fee will be charged, if the tour cannot take place for reasons of force majeure (e.g. strike, accident, natural disaster, or an international crisis).
Waiting period
Late arrival of the group:
The guide will wait at the start point arranged for up to 60 minutes from the fixed start time of the tour. If the delay can be foreseen, please inform our office (+43 (316) 58 67 20) or the respective guide on her/his mobile phone (see confirmation of order). In the case of a delay the duration of the tour will not be automatically extended. A possible extension of the tour depends on the availability of the guide and will be charged as provided in our current price list.
Late arrival of the guide:
If the guide is late (which may occur under adverse circumstances), please contact our office (+43 (316) 58 67 20) or the respective guide (for mobile phone number see confirmation of order). The client shall feel obliged to wait for up to 30 minutes. This waiting period will not be charged. Further compensation cannot be claimed.
Payment
Cash:
If you pay cash, you will receive a confirmation of payment by the guide.
Bank drafts:
Payment must be made within 2 weeks on receipt of the invoice and free of charge for the payee.
International money drafts:
Drafts from EU member states are free of charge, if the correct IBAN is given.
Drafts from non-member states of the EU must be free of charge for the payee.
Foreign cheques:
If you pay by foreign cheque, a transaction fee of € 15,-- will be charged.
Reminder fee:
If a reminder in writing has to be sent, we will charge a reminder fee of € 10,--.

In the event that one or several of the provisions of these Terms are invalid wholly or in part, this shall not affect the contents and validity of the remaining provisions of the document.
